En este ejercicio de práctica, tomaré un sketch del programa Saturday Night Live y lo adaptaré libremente a un medio teatral minimalista hispanohablante.

Secuencia basada en el sketch de SNL
La Policía Mexicana.

Parodia de los programas televisivos donde se practican idiomas con situaciones sencillas. La escena iniciará con al menos una silla y una mesa. En todo momento, el reparto actuará como docentes de inglés, lentamente, exagerados, con mucha dicción y señalando visualmente aquello de lo que hablan.

PRESENTADOR: Con ustedes, una nueva entrega de "English Policemen". El episodio de hoy estará escrito con la colaboración de la clase de inglés de 2º de Primaria de la señorita _________ _________.

[Los polis bueno y malo entran a la sala de detención, donde está sentado Michael el criminal]
POLI BUENO.- Hello.
POLI MALA.- Hello.
CRIMINAL.- Hello.
POLI BUENO.- My name is Phil.
POLI MALA.- And my name is Katherine.
POLI BUENO.- Once again! My name is Phil.
POLI MALA.- And my name is Katherine. What is your name?
POLI BUENO.- My name is Michael.
POLIS BUENO y MALA.- Hello, Michael.
POLI MALA.- [Se acerca al criminal] Michael, what colour is your hair?
CRIMINAL.- My hair is brown.
POLI MALA.- What colour are your eyes?
CRIMINAL.- My eyes are green.
POLI MALA.- What colour is your coat?
CRIMINAL.- My coat is red.
POLI MALA.- Where is the bomb?
CRIMINAL.- I don't know.
POLI MALA.- [Enfurecida] You don't know?! You don't know?!
POLI BUENO.- [Aleja a Kate del criminal] Wait, wait! What is happening?
POLI MALA.- You are the good cop. And I am the bad cop. Do you understand?
POLI BUENO.- Yes, I understand.
POLI MALA.- Very good.
POLI BUENO.- Ok, let's go. [Va hasta el criminal] Michael, do you want water? [Saca una botella de agua]
CRIMINAL.- No, I don't.
POLI BUENO.- Do you want a sandwich? [Saca un sandwich o un bocata]
CRIMINAL.- No, I don't.
POLI BUENO.- Do you want a pineapple? [Saca una piña]
CRIMINAL.- No, I do not! Thank you very much!
POLI BUENO.- Michael, I am your friend. You are my friend. She is your friend. We are friends! Michael, where is the bomb? Is the bomb in the airport? [Saca cartel del aeropuerto, el criminal no reacciona] Is the bomb in the supermarket? [Saca cartel de supermercado, el criminal no reacciona] Is the bomb in the library? [Saca cartel de una biblioteca, el criminal se pone nervioso] Oh, the bomb it's in the library!
CRIMINAL.- ¿Puedo salir al baño?
POLI BUENO.- In english, please!
CRIMINAL.- Can I go to the bathroom?
POLI BUENO.- No. Is it in a BIG library? Or is it in a SMALL library?
POLI MALA.- Big? Or small?

[Entra el jefe muy serio]
JEFE.- Silence, please!
POLI MALA.- He is the boss!
JEFE.- Katherine! Phil! [Pausa] What time is it?
POLI MALA.- It's a quarter past two.
JEFE.- Fine... Thank you.

[El jefe se va contento. Mientras, el criminal se habrá escapado por el otro lado disimuladamente]
POLI BUENO.- Well, Michael...
POLI MALA.- Oh! Where is the criminal?
POLI BUENO.- The criminal disappeared!
POLI MALA y BUENO.- We are so sad!
